When on holiday abroad do you hire a car and go off exploring?
a. No. I’m a bit nervous about driving in another country
It may be understandable, but unless you live in a city you’re likely to feel rather isolated unless you drive. Are you sure you’re ready to move?
b. No. I always stay in cities where I don’t need a car
Really? Even some cities are a struggle without a car. Are you being environmentally conscious or just finding excuses for not learning to drive? If it’s the latter, how would you fancy learning in a foreign country if you changed your mind?
c. Yes, of course. It’s the only way to escape from the other tourists
You’ll probably find your self doing the same thing if you move abroad permanently, even if you don’t spend the same amount of time driving as you do on holiday.
d. I can’t drive
Nor can most people in the world so obviously you can manage. But think about how you get about in the UK. Do you relt on friends and relatives to drive you around? They won’t be there if you move to a different country.
